Goodie Simple Styles: Spin Pin

Goodie Simple Styles: Spin Pin
French twist Up-do with spin pin

French twist Up-do with spin pin

I have been waiting to try theses for a while and was excited to see them in my local store so I picked them up.  I was not disappointed with the pins. They come in colors for both blonds and brunets. The pins hold hair well for everyday wear. I would not suggest them to hold your hair up with vigorous activity like running, but for everything else they are great. They make a French twist supper easy; where with regular bobby pins it may take 20 bobby pins to hold, a French twist only needs 2 Spin Pins. They are also really nice for regular or even messy buns.
The Spin Pins corkscrew shape works much like a screw, righty tighty lefty losey. With any hairdo using them I like to face them pointing in towards my head and twist then turn them and twisting into the hairdo. I find this leaves the hairdo very secure. The pins hide in the hair well and are basically invisible.
  1. Gather your hair at the nape of your neck (no ponytail holder needed).
  2. Twist your hair into a tight bun and tuck in the ends.
  3. Spin one pin in from the top and the other up from the base, taking care not to interlock pins.    (Directions given by the Spin Pin packaging)

Epic Fail!!! (Get Fit Week 2)

Happy Easter All!

So this week in the world of getting healthy was an epic fail. Because of the Holliday my job is hectic beyond belief. I have had to switch my normal schedule for overnights which then also switches my diet to Little Debbie’s, coffee, soda, and pretzels, yah not conducive to a healthy diet. As far as exercising goes it’s been work sleep work sleep work. When I get a chance to sleep it’s for 14 hours at a time. So needless to say I haven’t lost any weight but the good news is with the horrible diet I haven’t gained any either.

Plan for week 2
-calorie counting
-Elliptical cardio

Here I go again. (Get Fit Week 1)

After months of being lazy and bad eating habits a surge of motivation has hit me. I seem to find that it usually has a direct correlation with warmer weather and more sunshine. Whatever the case may be I have made the decision the get back on the healthy track. All winter I have been a glutinous sloth, I have been feeling rundown and lacking energy and I think that eating healthy and exercise are just the keys to feeling better.  Losing weight would be a perk. I would love to go clothing shopping and be able to pick something out and have it fit and not worry about the store not having any more fat girl sizes.
I have done this before, get the motivation to get healthy and lose weight but it doesn’t last long. That is why I’m putting this out for the world. If I let others know what I’m doing or do it with someone then I feel like I have someone that I have to be accountable to. I don’t want to let someone down so I keep it up.  So I’m going to make this into a weekly update, how I’m feeling, what I’m doing and if it’s working.

The plan for week 1
-          Calorie counting.  I have a problem with overeating and eating the wrong stuff, this helps me be more conscientious of what and how much I’m eating.
-          Working out.  Finally putting the elliptical I bought months ago to use.

The water-based colorants of Outlast Lipstain give lips a beautiful, lightweight flush of color that won't come off, lasting for hours without the heavy look or feel of an ordinary lipstick. Its pen-like precision applicator makes it easy to define your lips – just draw on color without any hassle! (Cover Girl.com description)

The Cover Girl Outlast Lipstains are a nice light looking and light feeling lip color. They last very well. I tend to get 4-5 hours out of one application.  The colors tend to be true to the packaging colors which make picking out a color easy. I love these for everyday work looks where I don’t have time to continuously reapply lipstick.

What the ingredients do for your skin

2-         - Rub scrub on lips
3-         -Wipe off with dry paper towel, and then a wet paper towel to get rid of any sugar that may be left.
